On the front, this hoodie stays deliberately understated: “Wali-e-Punjab” sits over the heart, the title once given to Maharaja Ranjit Singh as guardian of Punjab. It reads almost like a quiet signature rather than a slogan, the kind of detail you notice only when you’re standing close enough to matter.
The back reveals why that title matters. The artwork is a homage to the Order of Ranjit Singh, the state medal of the Khalsa Durbar created in the 1830s, when the Sikh Empire was confidently shaping its own national symbols. The form borrows the language of European orders—especially the Napoleonic French medals—but every element is filled with Khalsa meaning. The medal blooms like a flower, its three main leaves subtly echoing the French tricolour. On those leaves are inscribed, in Persian, the great campaigns that defined the reach of the Khalsa army: Kashmir (1819) on the white leaf; Multan (1818) and Mankera (1821) on the blue; Attock (1813) and Peshawar (1834) on the red. Together, they read like a compact map of an empire built through strategy, courage and relentless discipline, not just mythology. Flanking the central form are two bulls, traditional emblems of strength, while below, an eagle spreads its wings over a curved sword, an unmistakable symbol of sovereignty held in readiness rather than in fear.
Wearing this piece is less about nostalgia and more about continuity. It connects you to a moment when Punjab was not just a region on someone else’s map, but a political idea with its own medals, its own language of honour, its own memory of victory. For anyone who has ever felt their history reduced to a footnote, this hoodie quietly restores scale: your lineage is not small, and your story did not begin at partition or migration.
All of this is carried on a snow-washed black hoodie crafted from 100% cotton fleece at a substantial 400 GSM. The fabric has real presence—heavy enough for winter, softly brushed on the inside for warmth, with a washed finish that gives the garment the calm, lived-in character of something archival rather than disposable. The relaxed silhouette, kangaroo pocket and ribbed cuffs and hem keep it firmly in the realm of everyday streetwear, but Wali-e-Punjab wears more like a piece of history you chose to put on.
